Power of Attorney and Guardianship

On this page, you will find information on Jenius Bank’s Power of Attorney and Guardianship processes. There are definitions for important terms and instructions on how to submit information to us so that an agent or guardian can be added to a Jenius Bank account. Please review these terms and follow the instructions provided if you would like to submit a Power of Attorney (POA) document or Guardianship Order to Jenius Bank.

Terms

Cell Phone Number:

A mobile number where an agent/guardian can receive one-time passcodes (OTP) to verify their identity when contacting our Call Center. This verification enables them to request information and perform transactions on the account(s). By providing the Cell Phone Number to us, the agent/guardian consents to receiving calls and text messages for authentication and servicing purposes. Message and data rates may apply.

Mailing Address:

Personal Information:

  • Full legal name (including middle name);
  • Date of birth;
  • Address of residence;
  • Email address;
  • Cell Phone Number; and
  • 4-digit PIN.

Pin:

A four-digit number of the agent/guardian’s choice that can be used to update their Cell Phone Number on file. This PIN must be kept confidential and not shared with anyone other than Jenius Bank’s representative.

Instructions

Power of Attorney

Customers or their agents may submit a POA by sending the information to our Mailing Address. Include the following information:
  1. A fully executed copy of the POA. Be sure to include any required notices or acknowledgments and notarization or witnesses for the document.
  2. Personal Information for each agent named in your POA.
  3. An executed and notarized Agent’s Affidavit for each agent.
Successor POA agents may update the agent(s) in our records by sending the information to our Mailing Address. Include the following information:
  1. Personal Information for each successor agent named in the POA.
  2. An executed and notarized Agent’s Affidavit for each successor agent.
  3. Documentation of the current agent(s) inability or unwillingness to act (e.g., death certificate, letter of resignation, letter from physician documenting incapacitation).

Guardians

Guardians may submit a guardianship order by sending the information to our Mailing Address. Include the following information:
  1. A fully executed copy of the guardianship order.
  2. Personal Information for the guardian.
  3. If an entity or business is appointed as the guardian, then the following is also required:
    1. A valid resolution naming an individual to act on behalf of the entity or business in its capacity as a guardian for the account owner.
    2. Personal Information of the individual named in the resolution.

      3. Address;
      4. TIN; and
      5. Beneficial Ownership Certification.
