Julie believes that with the right knowledge, habits and tools, anyone can be a Jenius with their money – and in her dual role as Jenius Bank’s Head of Content and Social Media / Head of Financial Wellness, Julie is dedicated to ensuring this message resonates across Jenius Bank’s various content channels.  With more than two decades of marketing and communications experience, Julie is passionate about connecting with consumers in relevant ways. Her experience in writing for lifestyle, retail, business, and wellness verticals gives her a multifaceted perspective on the needs of today’s consumers. She also appears frequently on the company’s social channels, where she demystifies tricky financial concepts, digs into the latest personal finance trends, and shares helpful tips on how consumers could unlock a richer life. Prior to joining Jenius Bank in 2022, Julie directed blog and social media content development at two other financial services companies. Before that, Julie was a marketing consultant for 15 years in a variety of industries where she led initiatives in marketing strategy, digital content creation, and customer outreach. She also held two SVP roles at Bank of America where she drove online banking product planning and retail marketing programs. Julie approaches financial wellness with an educational, empathetic approach, honed during her years teaching personal finance courses at the university level. Her insights have been quoted in Bankrate, Money, HuffPost, GoBankingRates, Lifehacker, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, and NerdWallet, among other publications.  Julie has an MBA with a finance concentration from the George Washington University School of Business and a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is based in Southern California.
